A Naturopathic doctor must complete basic medical sciences along with a strong emphasis on botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, physical manipulation, homeopathic medicine, pharmacology, psychology, and lifestyle counseling. All NMD’s must pass a rigorous national board examination to be licensed as a general practice physician. She received further advance training in functional and integrative medicine and holds metabolic and functional endocrinology certification and fellowship in Metabolic, Nutritional and Functional Medicine from the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.
